Terms & Conditions
1. Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Jonas Hempel, trading as Media Essentials ("Service Provider"), to any client ("Client"). A working relationship begins when both parties agree to a project, whether in writing, via email, or verbally confirmed through any communication channel.
2. Services
Media Essentials provides motion design, video editing, explainer videos, brand motion, and related creative services. Deliverables are agreed upon individually per project. Work beyond the original scope will be addressed separately.
3. Pricing & Payment
Pricing is agreed upon individually before work begins. Payment terms are determined on a per-project basis. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due within 14 days of receipt. Jonas Hempel is registered as a Kleinunternehmer under §19 UStG, no VAT is charged. A rush fee may apply for tight deadlines and will always be communicated in advance.
4. Revisions
Each project includes a reasonable number of revisions as agreed at the start. A revision round means one consolidated list of feedback, not ongoing changes. Additional rounds beyond what was agreed may be charged at an hourly rate, communicated beforehand.
5. Delivery
Timelines are estimated based on scope and agreed individually. They may shift if the Client is late providing materials, feedback, or approvals. Final files are delivered once the project is complete and agreed payment has been received.
6. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights
All work remains the intellectual property of Jonas Hempel until full payment is received. Upon payment, the Client receives the right to use the delivered files for the agreed purpose. The Service Provider retains the right to display the work in their portfolio and on social media, unless the Client requests otherwise before the project begins. Raw project files are not included by default.
7. Cancellations
If a project is cancelled after work has begun, completed work may be invoiced proportionally. Specifics depend on the project stage and what was agreed upfront.
8. Liability
Media Essentials is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant project.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction is Rostock, Germany.
